Hair Loss Cures That Work
Donald Magnus

Hair loss cures that actually work have been sought by people for ages. This unending demand has led to potions and concoctions being sold as "cures for hair loss", for centuries. Most of these supposed hair loss cures, however, , didn't work and were not actually intended to help the people who used them, but instead to take advantage of men and women who were desperate to regrow their lost hair.

In the past, the Federal government in the United States has had to regulate the hair loss cures market, as it often becomes extremely exploitive over time. Regulation in the past has literally cleared the market of all products.

What hair loss cures are available on the market today?--And are they also scams? The short answer is that there are two types of cures on the market today: an oral cure and a topical cure.

The topical cure is Minoxidil, which you have probably heard about on Rogaine commercials. Rogaine, which has one of the more prominent hair loss cures on the market today, generally uses a 2 to 5% concentration of Minoxidil. Most tests have conclusively shown that this drug is not a scam; that, in fact, it does regrow hair, but it cannot always work in all patients. The reported success rates of studies were around 50% -- and were decidedly lower for older patients.

The other type of hair loss cure on the market is oral, Finasteride, and now comes in forms that can be used in conjunction with topical cures. Finasteride also, according to most current hair loss cures studies, is not a scam. It is reported to increase hair regrowth by a significant amount in most patients starting. Patients who took it in clinical tests regrew over 100 hairs in less a month on average. Clinical tests that lasted longer also looked at considerable improvements.

Modern technology and science has made it possible to prove what actually works and what is only pie-in-the-sky salesmanship. You will do yourself a favor by doing some research yourself on the product you are considering to remedy your hair loss. This should not be hard since there are reputable sources available locally and a wealth of information on hair loss cures online.

Gillard abandons leadership on climate change

It's hard to describe just how truly wretched Labor's new climate change policy is. It makes the CPRS, its dog of an emissions trading scheme, look like a model of best practice.
